Hiram Cray works on two unfinished clay bust sculptures placed on pedestals inside a studio. He is wearing a short‑sleeve shirt and apron and is shaping the clay with both hands. Large illustrated panels and sketches cover the walls in the background.

Teaching

My pedagogy focuses on cultivating a rich learning environment by nurturing an IDEA - Inclusive, Diverse, Equitable, Accessible, culture in the classroom and on campus with students, faculty and staff. I see art as a critical cognitive tool for human intellect and encourage every discipline to have a foundational relationship with the arts.
