Teaching

My courses are designed to help each student learn how to get their own best effort from themself and increase their confidence in learning and understanding science. I use a variety of tools in the classroom including traditional Power Point/lecture, active learning with questions and answer sheets, Kahoots, and team and individual quizzes. I use a lot of visuals and real-life examples to help students understand scientific concepts. I regularly reinforce the foundational concepts upon which so many areas of science depend.
